re: the Buffy/Spike attempted rape scene. That scene was so disturbing I only watched it once. It was definitely scripted and shot to be read as an attempted rape and nothing else. Buffy was on the floor crying and saying stop, and Spike was ignoring her. What made it especially disturbing was that it tried to make the audience identify with Spike in that it showed the moment when he realized exactly what he was doing and what it meant.
