322 The Science of Slash

Snap on your latex, /reporters, we're going into the lab. What did you think we meant? You guys are nasty. Anyway - this week, we kidnapped some (mostly) willing science nerds and dragged them down a long dark alley to talk about the scientific basis of some of our favorite slash tropes and universe building. We talk about mpreg, interspecies, parallel universes, time travel, and our favorite topic of all - knotting. So get your eye wash ready, we're about to hit the road.

What are you waiting for? Grab this super dense episode here. You can also follow us on twitter for even more inanity during the week.

I napped and I dreamed of a/b/o science. it was kind of awful. (still haven't solved the female knotting thing though)

Hi, Poetry here! If you check out the recs we shared in this episode, "Phrygian Choices" by fresne has a nice solution for female knotting. Not that you have to do the same thing fresne did, but just as an example of where the power of imagination can take you.
