Break out your widows weeds and best funerary hankies, /reporters, because this week we're exploring the wide and wonderful world of character death. Pru and MK are joined by Death Moon Merelyn and Black Snowflake Waldorph to discuss when character deaths work, when they don't, and which ones have been the most affecting in their tear-stained memories. Listeners beware, this episode contains extensive spoilers for The Good Wife, Hannibal, and Person of Interest among other fandoms.

Are you ready to ascend? Grab this week's episode here, and then you should follow us on Twitter for even more inanity during the week.

I'd like to know what you think about the HIMYM finale, especially about how it resolves the main pairings. In light of your opinions about character death.

I was listening to the podcast and I had to pause when the bit about going into a story (like Drasctically Redefining Protocol) and knowing what you're going to get, tonally. Because that's what I felt is why most of my flist was raging about when it came to the finale and the mother.

p.s. Ianto is still a death that I still feel angry about. It was pointless, actually there was a point. It was to show everyone that Russell T Davies is the master of all, and because we loved Ianto more than Gwen, his favorite and admittedly the supposed heart of Torchwood (Yup, the one that retconned Rhys forever and a day after telling him of all the horrendous things she did to him, is totally the heart of that show). See, I still have much anger after so may years.
