Cloudly claims we are generating "excessive traffic" and must find alternative means. The letter is below, but if any of you have a solution/can offer us hosting for the podcast, we'll love you forever.

Hi,
I'm getting in touch on behalf of CloudApp. It's come to our attention that one of your files is generating excessive traffic. We looked into it and it seems like you are using CloudApp as a content delivery network.

While we would love to do this, you can probably imagine that we can't allow operating a CDN on top of CloudApp for $5 a month.

We kindly ask you to find a more suited solution to distribute your podcast. Please let me know if I can help with anything in particular.

Help? (In case you were wondering, yes - I did buy a full year of this service specifically with /report in mind.)

I have heard about Libsyn, but cannot vouch for it - however, at least it is specifically geared towards hosting podcasts!

... what other purpose would an app like coudly be for other than as a "content delivery network"?

it's weird that it says it's only "one" of your files. is one podcast episode way more popular than all the others? maybe it just needs to be mirror hosted at multiple services to bring down the single service strain?

I have a Dreamhost account that currently gets minimal usage that I'd be happy to volunteer for the cause. I have no idea how to get it set up for your purposes, but it's got plenty of space+bandwidth.

I have no idea what "unmetered bandwidth" means but that's what my current hosting plan offers me. I'll gladly take you in and set up an FTP account for you until you find another option. (Also: have you tried Dropbox?)

If you need an option that doesn't include streaming, like just for another download option, I have a permanent account with Megaupload you could use.
