So...to porn or not to porn. (Hopefully to porn.) Because frankly, you guys are freaking SPECTACULAR at writing it.
1. What's your history in writing porn? Was there a breakthrough for you at some point where it got better and/or easier? (Most often for me, I get to the point in a story I'm writing that I realize I want to put porn there, but the sheer terror of committing it to words makes me drop in a promissory note and reluctantly come back to flesh it out [heh] later.) Or is this one of the cases of writing in general, where doing it over and over led to improvement?
2. How do you balance the emotional/internal feelings with the physical/external actions, and make it so freaking hot? I've heard badfic porn described as basically "Naked Twister narrated with all the clinical passion of tax forms", which too easily applies to mine.
3. Would you rather have an author fade to black or porn where porn is due, even if it's not good?
Thanks for putting up with my query, as bumbling as it is.
Also, many, many kudos for your podcast. I've enjoyed them all immensely.
